  • Standard (non-customized) products: 1–3 business days before shipment.

  • Customized products (custom logo, pattern, embroidery, color, or material): 5–12 business days for production, depending on order complexity and quantity.

  • Production timeline begins only after the customer approves the digital proof or sample we provide.

  • Orders placed on weekends or public holidays will be processed on the next business day.

  • Once your order ships, you will receive a notification email with tracking information.

Important Notice for EU Customers (Effective July 1, 2026):

The European Union has eliminated the €150 duty exemption for low-value e-commerce parcels. As of July 1, 2026:

  • A flat customs duty of €3 per item (per tariff heading) applies to consignments valued under €150.

  • A per-package handling fee of €2 will be introduced starting November 2026.

  • VAT (typically 19%–27% depending on the destination country) applies to all imported goods with no minimum threshold.

3. Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on:

  • Package weight and dimensions

  • Destination country

  • Selected shipping method

To provide transparent pricing, we offer:

Option A: DDP (Delivered Duty Paid)Recommended

  • All estimated import duties, VAT, and handling fees are prepaid by us at checkout.

  • Customers enjoy a seamless, "no surprise" delivery experience.

  • We register and use an IOSS (Import One-Stop Shop) number for EU shipments to streamline VAT payment.

  • Note: Even with DDP, the EU's new flat €3/item duty may still apply and is included in your quote.

Option B: DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid)

  • Customers pay only the product price + shipping freight at checkout.

  • All import duties, VAT, and customs handling fees are collected by the destination country's customs authority upon delivery.

  • Customers will be contacted by the carrier to pay these charges before the package is released.

💡 Our recommendation: For high-value orders (over $100), we strongly suggest choosing DDP at checkout to avoid unexpected charges and delivery delays.

4. Customs, Duties & Taxes

4.1 United States

  • All imports are subject to U.S. customs duties based on the HTS (Harmonized Tariff Schedule) code.

  • Automotive seat covers typically fall under HTS 8708.29.50 ("Other parts and accessories for motor vehicles"), with an average base tariff of approximately 2.5% (subject to change under evolving U.S. trade policy).

  • Additional tariffs may apply under Section 301 or other trade remedies.

  • The U.S. does not impose a federal VAT, but state sales tax may apply for domestic shipments from U.S. warehouses.

  • We provide accurate commercial invoices with proper HS codes and declared value to minimize customs delays.

4.2 European Union

  • All imports require VAT payment (Germany: 19%, France: 20%, and other member states ranging from 17%–27%).

  • A flat €3 customs duty per item applies to consignments under €150 (effective July 1, 2026).

  • For B2C parcels ≤ €150, we use IOSS (Import One-Stop Shop) to prepay VAT when DDP is selected.

  • For B2B shipments or parcels > €150, an EORI number and VAT registration may be required.

  • A handling fee of €2 per package will apply starting November 2026.

4.3 Customer Responsibilities

  • It is the customer's responsibility to:

    • Pay all applicable duties, taxes, and handling fees (for DDU orders)

    • Provide accurate shipping address and contact information

    • Respond promptly to carrier/customs requests for payment or documentation

    • Check local import regulations before ordering

⚠️ If a package is refused due to unpaid customs charges, the customer is responsible for return shipping costs and any restocking fees. Refunds will be issued for the product price only, excluding original and return shipping costs.

5. Risk of Loss & Title Transfer

  • For DDU shipments: Risk of loss and title transfer to the customer upon export from our warehouse (FOB origin).

  • For DDP shipments: Risk of loss and title transfer to the customer upon delivery to the final destination.

  • Customers are encouraged to purchase shipping insurance for high-value orders.

6. Lost, Delayed, or Damaged Shipments

6.1 Lost Packages

  • If tracking shows no movement for 10 consecutive business days, please contact us.

  • We will open an investigation with the carrier.

  • If the package is confirmed lost, we will either reship a replacement at no cost or issue a full refund, at our discretion.

6.2 Delayed Packages

  • Customs clearance delays are outside our control.

  • During peak seasons (November–January), please allow additional 5–10 business days.

  • We appreciate your patience and understanding.

6.3 Damaged Packages

  • If your package arrives visibly damaged, please:

    • Take photos of the outer packaging and damaged product before opening

    • Note the damage on the carrier's delivery receipt

    • Contact us within 48 hours with photographic evidence

  • We will arrange a replacement, repair, or refund based on the situation.

7. Address Accuracy & Undeliverable Packages

  • Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete shipping addresses.

  • If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect address, the customer is responsible for:

    • Return shipping costs

    • Reshipping fees

  • We recommend double-checking your address before submitting your order.

8. International Shipping Restrictions

We currently ship to most countries worldwide. However, certain restrictions apply:

  • Some countries may have specific import regulations for automotive products.

  • We reserve the right to decline orders to certain destinations based on logistical or legal constraints.

  • Customers in Brazil, Argentina, and certain other countries where customs requires recipient-paid duties are advised to choose DDP at checkout.

9. Tracking Your Order

  • Once your order ships, you will receive an email with:

    • Your tracking number

    • Carrier name and tracking link

    • Estimated delivery date

  • Tracking updates may take 24–48 hours to appear in carrier systems.

  • For real-time status, please use the carrier's official website.

💡 Key Compliance Notes for Your Business

1. 2026 Policy Changes — Must Update Your Pricing Model

  • U.S.: $800 de minimis exemption eliminated; all packages now subject to duties.

  • EU: €150 exemption eliminated; flat €3/item duty + €2/package handling fee (from Nov 2026).

  • Action: Recalculate your pricing. Consider DDP as default for high-value orders to maintain conversion rates.

2. DDP vs. DDU — Choose Your Strategy

  • DDP (Delivered Duty Paid): Higher upfront cost to you, but better customer experience. Shopify data shows DDP listings convert 31% higher than DDU.

  • DDU (Delivered Duty Unpaid): Lower upfront cost, but 43% of unpaid-VAT packages get rejected at customs (DHL statistic).

  • Recommendation: Default to DDP for orders >$100; offer DDU only as a budget option.

3. IOSS Registration for EU Sales

  • If you sell to the EU, register for an IOSS number (via Germany, Poland, or other EU member states).

  • IOSS allows you to prepay VAT at checkout, eliminating surprise charges for EU customers.

  • Cost: Approximately €200–€500/year through authorized agents (Pitney Bowes, FedEx, etc.).

  • Important: IOSS covers VAT only — it does NOT cover the new €3/item flat duty.

4. HS Code Accuracy

  • Automotive seat covers commonly use HTS 8708.29.50 for U.S. imports.

  • Misclassification causes 17.3% of CBPs returns — ensure accurate declaration.

  • Commercial invoices must state: "Automotive Seat Cover for Replacement Use" — do not mark as "Accessory Only".

5. EU Packaging Regulation (PPWR) — Coming August 12, 2026

  • All packaging sold to EU must meet recyclability standards.

  • Non-EU sellers must appoint an EU Authorized Representative and complete EPR (pEPR) registration.

  • Action: Register now to avoid product delisting.

6. U.S. CPSC eFiling — Now Mandatory

  • As of July 8, 2026, all consumer products require electronic filing before customs entry.

  • Ensure your products have valid CPC/GCC certificates on file.

  • Partner with carriers who support ACE (Automated Commercial Environment) electronic filing.
